I am back This week and doing a lot better So Thanks so much for all of you who prayed for Everything!
Now on to my tackle. I will list them this week ONLY because I have no desire to make ANY of my dear friends Ill!
Our First tackle Happened on Saturday..
1. We went and got our Christmas tree–A wonderful gentleman in our churchg gave us a free fresh one! I love it–I started to decorate it BUT Alas it was time to go to bed.
2. Hubby put new windows in our bay…In the den! They were SOO old! They were held up by hand made nails which cost a pretty penny today
3. We were given a deer last night so That needed to be butchered and put in the freezer! (that is why I am not doing pictures today!)
4. I need to clean up the sink area today…Not hard at all!
5. Christmas presents to be made! (also why i am not posting pictures today)
Check back later for pictures of all the progress on some pictures!…..on Some things!
Phase two of this awful sickness kicked in today…Yuck..I have a feeling not a thing will get done for today either..At least I had a two day reprieve RIGHT!?!
BEFOREold medicine cabinet old cabinet old towel bar and paint before painting more before painting AFTERafter painting–mirror replaced the medicine cabinet new paint and new towel bar–it’s a double new bathroom cabinet towel bar New hand towel and towel ring
Well it’s nearly finished. All that is left is shower curtain rod–the non-tension kind )can’t find one ANYWHERE) Curtain for the window and the trim. The trim wail probably happen after all the other major projects that need to be done are finished. that being said ALL of the trim needs to be done for the wile house..except for the kitchen…that has mostly been finished! Oh yeah and we have four of those major projects coming soon.
Well after some crazy days I have some pictures to show you! It’s of our new transformation in Progress!! My camera batteries died yesterday as I was taking the half way pictures. Disappointing yes but because hubby’s meeting ran a little (ok so a lot later) than expected we didn’t get to work on the Project on Monday night so I didn’t have all the progression in pics I would have liked. So last night (after some minor mishaps) we got to the progression we had hoped for the night before
So here is what is left to do
Tonight after church-Spackle–there is not that much to do!!
Tomorrow night–NOTHING! we have a really neat concert to go to!
Friday –nothing really-we don’t “celebrate halloween m/c hubby is a pastor and well some of the things that play a part in halloween. Anyway we do take Trick or treaters and we have some FUN things planned for the kids! Maybe sanding of the spackle after the kids are in bed!
Saturday…Fun for me-Craft day at a local church…Not a craft…I fair but a craft day with food and you make the crafts. It’s a great outreach! I am making three of the 6 crafts and then I am taking my scrapbooking stuff along! Hubby and his dad on the other hand-Painting the bathroom!!
Sunday–attaching the fixtures. Towel bars, toilet paper holder and so on
Monday Final pictures for tackle it Tuesday post!
(NOTE- Wood trim will be added at a later date.) Hubby makes all of the antique looking trim himself so it takes a while. We have to also finish all the wood in the bathroom seeing as the last owners didn’t see fit to do so and we have some mold on the wood…especially around the window!)
And lastly let me just day how thankful I am that my husband has a degree in wood products engineering and is fantastic at it. It is so wonderful to not need to pay anyone for these services. He does ALL of our plumbing , electrical and carpentry aspects…and it’s beautiful!
So let’s get to those pictures!
THE BEFORE SHOTS!
Old floor and toilet
Old sink and cabinet
You can see it but the whole inside of the sink around the drain is cracked…
Gotta love cultured marble
Old towel bar and window treatment
old floor and bathmat
oh and tornado’s feet
Old medicine cabinet and lights
VERY SAD SHAPE
THE AFTER SHOTS!
New mirror
New light fixture
New floor and new bathmat
New toilet and over the toilet shelves
As I look at the pictures now I realize that I missed the new sink and and cabinet so I will post pics later!
Hubby does solid surface counter tops marble and so much more where he works now while we are looking for a ministry.
So the sink is one his shop was getting rid of and his boss said he could have it. The cherry cabinet was one he had finished when we lived in Pa and the customers decided they didn’t like it ..again that boss said we could have it.
The same was true with the counter tops and sink in our kitchen!
This is my craft room…and today i cleaned off the top of our hutch which was loaded up with dried flowers I have had recieved since we moved here nearly three years ago! So in My craft room i have my day bed from when i was growing up but there is no room for it so it has to be propped up against the wall. It looks drab to say the least. So i have been brainstorming all day just what to do with those dried flowers that I have collected!
Well here was my idea. Hubby liked it and then I said to him and wouldn’t look so cool with dried flowers all the way down it!? Ad he chuckled in his hubby sort of way and said.” you would love that wouldn’t you?” and i smiled in my wifey Sort of way!
