Simple Woman’s Day book #6

FOR TODAY (August 18,2008)…
Outside My Window… Gray morning. It’s supposed to be warm..I hope so!

I am thinking… a lot about friendships and after last weekends fiasco I found myself thinking and wishing for a
Jonathan/David in my life.

I am thankful for…a God who understands me personally and loves me just the way that i m…Though He Himself
inspires growth and strength!

From the kitchen…Egg bake, tacos, and leftovers!
I am wearing…My brother’s issued Gray Army long sleeved, mock Turtle neck shirt, two tone blue shorts, Athletic socks and
my hair is down!

I am creating…A sanctuary in my home…..though it’s been hard to focus on that as of late!

I am going…For once I am actually going somewhere..We are going to a local Amusement park to meet with some friends from out
in Salt lake City Utah. I have seen them in 6 years but hubby
saw them at Kevin’s memorial service last month!

I am reading…The Bible…Isaiah, Proverbs and Philippians

I am hoping...to break through this mental block I have had all last week. I need to shake this desperately!

I am hearing…The oh so annoying hum of our computer fan and the typing on my keyboard!

Around the house…Lots of straightening!!! Vacuuming and some (not a lot) of laundry….not to mention packing for this weekends
trip to Long Island

One of my favorite things…Cheesecake…I Love Cheesecake!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:I think i already mentioned them in around the house but I would really like to get
the kids toy’s sorted for our sometime yard sale!

FOR TODAY (August 11, 2008)…

Outside My Window…A very cool and gray morning with an occasional rumble of thunder

I am thinking…about a weekend that should have been a ton of fun but instead turned into a weekend where a close friend showed his true colors and I really feel as though through this he ended a once very close friendship

I am thankful for…a husband who understands and isn’t a tyrannt with me or our children!!!Oh yeah and kids who are happy and can be themselves!!

From the kitchen…Egg bake, Roast chicken with potatoes Birthday cupcakes

I am wearing…Purple satin Pj’s, bare feet and messy bun!!

I am creating… a home with lots of love..hopefully where mercy and grace abound!

I am going…no where. I have recently grown to love staying at home. So i am going no where until
Friday night when we have our night out!

I am reading…Defuse; the Bible…finishing up Job and Ephesians and starting the book of Proverbs

I am hoping…to have a peaceful and relaxing week. i need it after this one

I am hearing…the crying and fussing of my three year old as he is awake too early and doesn’t want to go back to sleep

Around the house…lots to do from the weekend. i need find somethings that were moved on me!

One of my favorite things… to watch a movie and read with my family..This is our Sunday
night routine!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: get the house back in order; get some much needed rest; enjoy my children a little more than I have been as of late; and take a break to enjoy the moments we are living!

Outside my Window...Sun and a cool morning

I am thinking…I wish I felt better. I got crazy sick last night right before we left the Bible Conference…Half way through the message I got really sick…it wasn’t pretty luckily I was able to sneak out!

I am thankful for…a chance to get away this weekend. It was very needed and I enjoyed it thoroughly!

From the kitchen...I have no idea…i didn’t get my menus done for the week

I am creating...Sock bags. I am very tired of having lost and unsorted socks. So I am making a set of 6 sock bags. When socks get taken off of a per son they get put directly in the repective sock bag. Then on wash day the socks AND THE BAG get tossed into the washing machine!Yes that is too many no I am not pregnant. I just figured since I am setting up to do this I might as well go ahead and make the extra since we would love to SOMEDAY have a fourth child!

I am going...To the store hopefully before Thursday…We need to get a B-day present for Lady Bug!

I am wearing...White shorts with black stripes down the sides, a red Marvin the Martian T-Shirt bare feet with Red painted toenails and a messy bun in my hair

I am reading…Defuse by Karol Ladd

I am hoping..To feel better so i can get some stuff done today..Like unpacking!

I am hearing...The fan of the computer and an occasional call from tornado downstairs!

Around the house…Laundry! And unpacking..the kitchen floor desperately needs swept and mopped too!

One of my favorite things...Cheese Nips when I feel sick!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…get back into the Word. I am not just talking about devos but deep BIBLE study! Rework our daily schedules. Some down time to recuperate!

Outside my Window…Singing birds welcoming a cooler morning

I am thinking…I enjoy doing this day book so very much!

I am thankful for…a wonderful husband. We have had such nice conversations about life as of late. I always enjoy talking with him and I always learn so much from him but as of late we have been going deeper in conversations. It’s so funny that we think we know a person but then you learn so much more it shocks you!

From the kitchen...Chicken Tetrazini for supper tonight

I am hearing…Vug kicking a toy in his crib as he is awake and enjoying the morning.

Around the house...Vacuuming! Laundry!

Outside my Window...Bright sunshine…I love it!!!

I am thinking…I am so very happy to be hope from a long hot weekend on the road!

I am thankful for…Family We got to visit with hubbies family on Saturday and had a wonderful time.

From the kitchen…Eggs…Egg Bake to be exact!

I am creating…A home sanctuary for family and friends!

I am going…no where until Friday..Friday is our night out so any and all shopping is done in one trip.. I enjoy being at home

I am wearing...Gray shorts that have seen better day..I have had them since high school and a pink tank top with a sloppy pony tail and bare feet!
I am reading…One Lady at a Time; the Bible; The hidden Art of Homemakeing; Jesus Among Other God’s and a few others.

I am hoping..to get a lot of stuff done today

I am hearing...Kids finishing breakfast downstairs and a cicada outside!

Around the house...Tons to do!!!! 2 rooms to be decluttered today. Vugs and my bedrroom..better get cracking..oh and laundry!!

One of my favorite things…Teaching tornado new things. He is learning so much

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…get the old terrible looking shade down in Vug’s room, sew curtain for the other kid’s room and get it hung!
