Happy homemaker Monday-Decemeber 5th 2011

The weather in my neck of the woods:

this strange Humidity…cool But not Cold.  strange for NY this time of year.

Things that make me happy:

Christmas and every aspect of it.  It’s one of my two favorite holidays!!!

Nothing

On the menu for dinner:

Venison stew and Biscuits

On my To Do List:

i don’t think the blog canhandle that longof a list!!!  Our lives are in full speed ahead during this time of year!

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:No time for new recipes just the tried and true

In the craft basket:
Dolls.  i have a pattern for a cute set i am making for Lady Bug for Christmas.  Expect to see  many  Pictures and Blog posts as I try my hand at what appears to be a lot of fun!

Looking forward to this week:Oh my…well again i think there is just too much.  But the kids Christmas program, and a deacon’s Christmas party!
Tips and Tricks:..LISTS LISTS LISTS  It is the only way I make it through the holiday season

Growing….especially when it is spiritually.  Its so neat to have your eyes opened to something you have been missing .

Im thinking  a new soup is in order for today since everyone is seemingly coming down with something

Lots of things..EVEN CHRISTMAS PRESENTS!!!

Friday night is ours church’s Ladies Movie night and Saturday we are having the teen’s over for dinner and games

don’t ever go to a conference with the attitude I’m only here for the blogging…LOL  It’s a challenge to God and He will win!

Brisk and sunny…A beautiful fall day!

Things that make me happy:

The sense of completion…Knowing that I have accomplished something substantial..and made someone else happy

stay focused on the reason why you do something..MY Purpuse is to do everything unto the glory of the Lord…1 Cor 10. 31 and then commit it to memory in a catchy way….i use Steven Curtis Chapmans song Do Everything  every day on my mp3 player

Lesson learned the past few days:

When you do everything to the glory of the Lord, it doesn’t matter what other people think of your work because you did your very best and that makes God happy!

Mondays and Wednesdays…The three older kids are at school for the whole day and i get to experience something I have not experienced in 6 years…SILENCE

Chicken and biscuits with Green beans on the side

Our bedroom and the bathrooms, and some general cleaning

Cool and Breezy, some rainy and all in all a very nice day after all the hum idity

Getting things accomplished…It’s is so nice to have a checked off to do list at the end of the day!

Not really sure yet…BUT I do know we are going our for ice cream afterward!

Reliance on God is the ONLY way to make it through hectic schedules without completeky loosing your mind
