A day of mourning and an Anniversary.

I so tried to not write about the happenings of this week. It has been disturbing to all who hear the chilling tales of this last Monday. Do you remember where you were. I was sitting at my kitchen table feeding my kids! How about Columbine do you remember where you were when you saw the first chilling video clips of that blood stained body of a boy flinging himself from a second story window. I do I was home packing for my senior trip to Boston. I went to a small Christian School. My brothers However did not. Our area in Pennsylvania was the worst in the country for Copy cat threats. My brother’s school had a hit list on line and needless to say nearly half the students didn’t attend school the following day, my brother’s included.
Life id full of of surprises, both good and bad. This shocking display of anger and hate disturbs me deeply. I link this very closely to the hate that was displayed on 9/11. This young man who obviously had some very serious problems said that he was forced to do this, and his major complaint was against the rich and affluent. But is you look closely at the list of those who lost their lives, many were from other countries across the globe who just as he had worked to get where he was.
The most disturbing of all the personal stories would be the professor from Isreal who was a survivor of the holocaust. He survived one of the most horrendous acts this world has ever witnessed to die here in the U.s. by a disgruntled, unhappy student because he didn’t have what others were blessed with. I can’t shake it.
Aside from this disturbing tale we were faced with a great development in the political world. Partial Birth Abortion has been banned! Praise the Lord!!! Now the rest of the pro-choice country goes nut’s. Planned Parenthood says that the government “clearly does not care about the mother’s health.” Well if the truth be known there has never been a documented case of Partial Birth Abortion due to a mother’s health.
Do you know what Partial birth Abortion is? Planned Parenthood does not and will not give a valid description so if you have a a weak stomach or are with young children you may not want to read the details.
Partial Birth Abortion is where the baby is in the process of labor and delivery. Just after the Baby’s head comes out of the birth canal and the body is still inside, A pair of pointed Scissors is pushed through the baby’s skull, then it’s brains are suctioned out, and the rest of the body id delivered. Simply appalling. I am sorry for the disgusting description but as I have talked with many in the Christian community it was disturbing to find out that many have no clue and thought something less appalling.

I don’t know where to start!

If you don’t know about our weekend then I suggest you stop reading this and go straight down to my last Tackle-It-Tuesday Post . That would be # 11. There just is not enough time to expound upon that AGAIN! Tuesday i felt like a total slug and felt fairly nervous becaus I had not been feeling pregnnat for some time. I tried to take a nap but was so jittery that I just laid there and shivered. Not to mention my parents keep their forced Air gas heat at a balmy 75 degrees! Needless to say We are not used to that we keep our house at 60 during the day and turn it back…way back at night. So needless to say after spending 4 whole days there it has been really really hard to acclimate. So I got up to get a shower and that helped…make me more sleepy that is! Well then I took the kids to the post office. Got the mail scanned it all for the yellow card that means you have a package. Well there wasn’t one so I heaved the monster of a double stroller back around and headed for home a few hundred feet away. Well I got both kids in the house, my husband was calling on the phone when I walked in. I went back out while talking to him to heave the monster stroller back up the stairs in it’s compact form. Luckily I didn’t take it in side. Because I went in and sat at my chair at the kitchen table to see what mail we got while we were gone. Bills Bills, Junk junk and more junk. and what should slide out of the last flier…you guessed it a yellow card! I glanced at my watch I had 15 minutes till the Post Office closed. Luckily the kids still had their coats on (he he he he he ) And we raced back. I was absolutely ticked to see that my first eBay purchase had arrived! Well I have a full day to write about Wednesday, however Tornado must have thought that taking nap was an option so after I re-tuck him in and put lady bug down for her nap I shall return to my story!

I don’t know where to start! Part 2

Ok a side note- Just now when I took Lady bug up to put her in bad who should be standing at his door waiting for me..tornado of course. He is very good at opening his door. Too good in fact. However what was interesting this time is that he was completely and totally naked. Not a stitch of clothing not even his diaper! Now to be truthful this is not all that uncommon either but what is uncommon is when I tell him not to undress himself he listens. Every time I turn around today he is removing his clothes!!!!!!

Ok on to Wednesday. Well I didn’t have to worry about not feeling pregnant anymore because I felt nauseous all day..That isn’t normal for me so it was hard getting acclimated to that. Then while the kids were having breakfast I received f telephone call from a telemarketer. dumbly I gave them our checking account #. yes I know better but in the process Tornado had broken a ceramic dish, the dog was trying to get at the chunks of wreckage and I can’t remember where lady bug was at the time but if I remember correctly she wasn’t happy either.

As I recall there were a million other things that happened that were just above and bbeyond my daily routine! To top it all off Hubby was in charge of Prayer meeting at our church last night! He rushed home from work to pick me and the kids up . He doesn’t normally have to do that. His parents pick us up but they are out of town. So we drove the mile and a half back to church with kids in tow only to discover that NO one would show up. This is common and not normally a big deal but after the day I had it was just icing on the cake.

Today has not been much better. Tornado and Lady bug are both adamantly refusing nap time (which in no way shape or form is acceptable!) Lady bug puked all over the floor and she normall is not a puker. I think tornado gave her Poly-fil to play with and she ate it!

And as I discussed earlier tornado has been getting naked all day. I need a nap myself but I am VERY VERY far behind on my indoor planting and that must get done or we will not be having peppers, tomatoes or broccoli from the garden this summer. So for now Auf Wiedersehn. C-ya round the blogoshere!

Have you Ever…….

Now I must start out this post with a disclaimer. I have no idea who I am writing about. It was just a random person my husband and I saw along the road this week and were amused! We have never seen anything quite like it so if it was you, we are sorry but it was just so different. So my question is Have you ever seen ..someone vacuuming their yard? No I am not kidding and Yes I am quite serious. Last Saturday being my birthday we went out . Not having been out for some time, we went to a bulk foods store then came back for lunch and then went in the opposite direction to the big city. I had a great day but it was on the way to the Bulk foods Store that we drove past someone with a Shop Vac (R) out along the road Vacuuming SOMETHING. Hubby and I both laughed and and made a few comments and we were on our way but I can honestly say it was a very funny thing to see. Oh yes did I Tell you that this is my third birthday pregnant! (No big deal you say, but those three birthdays are in a row!)

Scent

One of my favorite parts of spring is flowers blooming! I also love the scent that they put forth. I would have them in my house all winter if I could but I am like millions of other Americans who suffer from pretty bad hay fever a good part of the year (other than when I am pregnant 😉 ) So Even floral scented candles are not a option ! But recently we switched back to using normal detergent for our laundry. We were using unscented without color for the baby but I have given in. There is just something so nice about clean laundry that smells good. And then about a year and a half ago we bought two huge things of Dish liquid from Sam’s Club (R) We didn’t realize it but it was anti-bacterial. I know I know you really aren’t supposed to use it for one reason or another but we weren’t about to throw out ALL that dish liquid so after a year and a half it is ALL GONE!!! YAY! and now on to the real stuff. We bought Dawn (R) Fresh berries scent and it has actually become a pleasure to wash dishes! (Sick HUH?) And my hands are almost back to normal. Oh yeah the anti-bacterial stuff killed my skin..especially on my right hand! I would not recommend it to anyone!
