1. What was I doing ten years ago?

Ten years ago was July of 1998 and I was preparing to enter my senior year at a local Christian school. I had been at the pubic school my whole life and God had provided a way for me to pay my way through. I did it and had the best school year ever! I made some of the best friends I ever had….Thanks Dave, Richie, Howie, Greg, Tom, Jeff, Jason and Goldie…Notice only one is a girl…Man i was such a tomboy!!!

2. What are (were) 5 things on my to-do list for today?

a. Straighten Vug’s room..It needs to be re-organized and decluttered

b. Call Christian Bible Conference and reserve tent site!

c. Laundry
I have to do major laundry since we were gone this weekend and I missed my normal laundry day!

d. Finish organizing our bed room. Again more decluttering

e. Organize Preschool homeschooling stuff for next year!

3. Snacks I enjoy
Salt is such a huge weakness right now. So anything salty!

4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire. In no particular order

*put away for the children’s college education

*Tithe it

*invest it

*hire a housekeeper

*completely renovate our home

*Support some our favorite ministries!!!

*Buy a ranch in Montana…for hubby!

5. Places I have lived:

a. 3 places in Pa during childhood
b. Binhamton NY for college
c. 3 more places in Pa during hubby’s Seminary
d.Upstate NY

6. Jobs I have had:

a. babysitting
Through high school and college

b. The local fair…I bussed tables at a food place

c. Hands on and Beyond..a mall store that dealt with learning toys and games..a homschooling haven and the famed bungee ball!!! I got paid to play!!!!

d. Kitchen assistant and assistant cook at Bible college

e. Housekeeping at college

f. road manager for girls basketball team at Bible college,,Freshman and Junior years

g. General kitchen help while hubby was at seminary
Line server..Food prep. and three other jobs I can’t remember off the top of my head. I held 3 positions that normally took 4 people to do.

January 8,2007 Marked my first blog post.I love to journal but I really love the media of the web because I can design my blog and make it what i want it to be. I also like the idea of sharing my thoughts with others.

i was inspired to do so by my brother-in-law HT. His original blog LOTRfanatic.com (no longer in use) was a place of insight and challenge to the tru thinker. He now co-blogs with two other friends at http://www.zomgee.com He and his two friends OhYo and Dan Have some pretty neat insights. They are all techies of sorts and have a neat wit and humor about them.

Through HT’s blog I became curious and I knew he paid for his blog space but blogging was becoming a big thing but I couldn’t pay money for that so i began searching for a a free blog site. Blogger was one of the first that discovered. I made my account but still searched high and low for exactly what i was looking for. I have always come back to blogger because it is such a new all encompassing blog host. I love it and I think I will stick with it.

As for my mission:

So many times Stay at home moms wrongly get the label of uneducated or lower than other women. I was a stay at home wife way before I was a stay at home mom so Through my blog I want to challenge moms to not just be wrapped up in their kids but to be wrapped up in God their husbands and their kids. Not forgetting the work they are called here to do and that is to be a witness for Jesus Christ. I want SAHM’s to see the world as Christ does, with love and compassion. And despite what other tips on being a good bloggers says it’s Ok to delve into politics, finances, the media, entertainment and so much more. If we get so wrapped up in only the things in our home we loose sight of the things in which we are called to do and that is to serve God in all that we SAY and do!

First of all let me start out by say this is a sticky post so it will remain here until May 9th! So to see and new posts scroll down! Over at 5 minutes for Mom they are having a great contest called Sounds great Doesn’t it!! Well i would like to say that i would especially like to win the Rose Petal Cottage set! We have two boys and one girl and let’s just say that the girl toys are minimal comparatively! So head on over there and take a look around! It’s a great place to visit!

After using the internet in our hotel room in Florida this last week I was fairly disappointed last night when I visited my blog to make a post and much to my dismay I discovered that my signature was gone…the coding had been corrupted…The same goes for a button I tried to place on my blog for 5 minutes for mom’s mother’s day give away….How frustrating! So I got my signature back and now I am going to try to work on getting that button up! GRRRRRRRRRR!!!
